The Regional Programme will hold its second AHDR Advisory Board meeting on April 27-28, in Cairo. The Advisory Board will review the Report’s final draft and Executive Summary. It will serve as a follow up to the first Advisory Board meeting, during which the Report’s theme, conceptual framework and outline proposed by the Core Team were discussed and debated. The upcoming Report will address the development challenges facing youth (15-29 years) in the Arab region.
The meeting will be chaired by Sima Bahous, UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Assistant Administrator and Regional Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States, in the presence of Senior Strategic Advisor and Report Coordinator Adel Abdellatif, and Regional Advisor for Communication and Media Noeman Alsayyad. Participating members will agree on the Report’s launch date to be announced soon.

1.2. Social Event
UNDP cordially invites you to a social dinner on 27 April 2016 at the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino. The dinner will be held at the “North Balcony” hall located on the 1st Floor. 2. Facilities
2.1. Fax/ E-mail/Printing
A business center is available at the Hotel for Fax/e-mail and printing of documents. Participants are kindly requested to cover extra expenses incurred from using the hotel business center services.
2.2. Internet
Free wireless connection will be available in both the rooms and the meeting room.
2.3. Voltage
The voltage in Egypt is 220-240 Volts. The majority outlets accept one type of plug with two round style pins. If you travel to Egypt with a device that does not accept 220-240 Volts, you will need a voltage converter. Although most laptops are designed for travelers with auto sense and auto-switch between 110 and 240 volts, participants need to check for this capability before bringing their equipment to Egypt. If a laptop does not have the right plug, you will also need to bring a plug adapter.
