Overview
Amman - Jordan
The workshop is organized in partnership with the Jordanian Transparency Center (JTC), which has set up the “Transparency Knights”, as a group of young men and women consisting of recent university students and graduates. The workshop aims to develop the group’s skills on international anti-corruption standards and their application in Jordan. The project will support participants in researching and preparing presentations on related topics such as the UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), it’s review mechanism, the related efforts in Jordan, the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) and the national anti-corruption strategy. The findings will be presented and discussed in the workshop and the participants will be able to comment and discuss their content, format and delivery. A judging panel of three experts will select and award the best presentation. This activity is being organized in the framework of the “Universities Against Corruption” initiative, which aims to transform universities into sustainable platforms for raising the awareness and promoting the constructive engagement of university students against corruption across the Arab region focusing on Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia and Morocco.
